My career has touched a lot of points around the Bay Area business landscape. I've been an entrepreneur, start-up executive, public company CFO, and e-commerce explorer.
Post MBA, I began as a finance analyst for the W.R. Grace Restaurant Group which operated over 800 restaurants. Next, I moved into retail with a start-up called Home Express, backed by US Venture Partners.
“Home Express exposed me to the start-up and venture capital processes at an early stage. We went through high growth, an IPO filing and later Chapter 11. Things were moving so fast, events were so compressed. Every day brought a new set of circumstances with new challenges.”
Summary
My diverse experiences in finance prepared me well for work in this segment of search business. Over the years, I’ve held both consulting and executive roles in a variety of industries and situations. I rode the dot.com and e-commerce waves, participating in start-ups and IPOs . Maybe the most exciting chapter of my work life was a $500 million IPO I helped manage at Restoration Hardware in 1998.
