MONTIE PARKER
PARTNER
After graduating from Iowa State University with a B.S. degree in Industrial Administration, Montie worked for Arthur Andersen & Co. in Chicago for 11 years. During that period he consulted with both public and private companies and developed and installed software systems used in the management of human capital.
After leaving Arthur Andersen, Montie joined Itel Corporation in San Francisco. There he was Vice President of Finance responsible for financial operations and control in Latin America, the Far East and North America. This encompassed a revenue base of $400 million and a managed staff of 100 people. After five years, he was promoted to the management team of a startup company that Itel acquired. Montie successfully staffed and built a Bay Area practice for the company.
In 1979, Montie went to work for Howard Karr, an icon in the staffing industry in the Bay Area. After three years with Howard, Montie and two partners bought Howard’s practice and formed Adams, Parker & Lynch. During the next 14 years they built the company into a successful boutique finance and accounting executive search firm serving all industries within the greater Bay Area. In 1985, the three of them along with another partner formed Key Personnel Services, which they successfully sold in 1991. In 1997, Parker & Lynch was sold to Modis Professional Services, a $2 billion dollar NYSE company. After the sale, Montie consulted with Modis as they have taken the Parker & Lynch business model and opened offices in Dallas, Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and Chicago.
Montie now spends full time building the reputation and expanding the services provided by Bridges.
